Kenneth Cofer Barham, 85, a lifetime farmer of Surry County, VA passed away February 20th. He was a 12th generation Barham in Surry County, Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alease S. Barham and daughters, Elizabeth Barham Woodard (Dennis) of Sandston, VA, Mary Ellen Barham of Sandston, VA and Emily Barham Seward (Michael) of Smithfield, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Catharine E. Seward of Suffolk, VA, Beth Seward Atkins (Evan) of Suffolk, VA, Michael K. Woodard of Sandston, VA and Rebecca (Becky) Woodard Murdoch (Clayton) of Smithfield, VA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Private interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Surry, VA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Chesapeake Bay Foundation or The Wounded Warrior Project.
