Lawrence E. Taylor

Lawrence E. Taylor, 69, of Charles City passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. He was a Vietnam Era Army Veteran and was a retired employee of Henrico County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marchel and Fannie Taylor; and brothers, Douglas and Marvin Taylor and is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deborah Taylor; nephew/son, Kevin Johnson (Kristina) and family; brothers, Bobby Taylor, Phil Taylor (Sharon) and Jerry Taylor (Wendy); and extended family, Edward and Debbie Amory, Jimmy and Ruth Ann Yunkun, the rest of the Amory family, Michael Johnson, James Johnson III (Barbara), retired Chief James Johnson IV (Angela), Douglas Taylor, Jr. and family, Kathy Johnson, Kimberly Teeter, Nikki Shephard and family, Wayne Taylor (April) and family, Stella Ashworth and family, his motorcycle racing friends, Darbytown Road Jehovah’s Witnesses friends, and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 2, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
