Lemmie Ree Cook Jr., 68, of Richmond, passed away on November 18, 2016. He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served honorably in Vietnam and was retired from the U.S. Army Reserves. Lemmie was an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemmie and Jessie Cook. Lemmie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jacquelyn Roberts Cook; daughter, Melanie Cook; granddaughter, Brianna Rose Cook; and brother, Bruce Cook. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
