IN THE CARE OF
Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory
Lieselotte (Lilo) Reimann 90, of Sandston, passed away on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Herbert.
Survived by her son, Marc; daughter, Conny; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reimann was born in Stolz, Germany, and although living through the harshness of WWII, it never crushed her passion for life. She earned her nursing degree, which led her to Canada and ultimately meeting the love of her life. Her love for helping others continued with a second career as a well-respected tax consultant. She was a member of the German American Sports Club, International Club of Richmond, and volunteered at the Richmond Opera. Mrs. Reimann found joy in knitting, sewing, working in her flower garden, crossword & jigsaw puzzles, watching horse racing, Opera, music, traveling the world, and baking delicious German treats, especially the traditional Christmas Stollen. Every room in her house resembles a library due to her love of books. Her zest for adventure was insurmountable as she was affectionately dubbed as a daredevil and an adventure junky, fulfilling her skydiving dreams with her first jump at the young age of 80. Above all else, her greatest pride and joy was her family.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Nelsen Funeral & Crematory, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to www.lewisginter.org.
