Lillie Brockwell Ladd

Ladd, Lillie Brockwell ,81, of Sandston, passed away on March 30, 2019 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She enjoyed country music, long walks in the park with the love of her life, her grandchildren and watching TV land. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kennon Randolph Ladd; and parents, Clarence C. Brockwell Sr. and John Lucy Brockwell. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Bobby) McGinnis Sr., Terry (Kenny) Walker, George A. Stanley Jr., stepson, Paul (Janna) Ladd; grandchildren, Amy (Cliff) Messer, Lee (Malia) McGinnis Jr., Lindsey (Daniel) Johnson, Kevin Walker, Candace Stanley, Abby Ladd; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Clarence C. Brockwell Jr. (Rita); and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillie was a retired employee of Wella Balsam and also worked for numerous other factories. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 11-12 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va 23231, where a service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr, Sandston, VA 23150. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
