Lottie “Dolly” Walker Rankin

RANKIN, Lottie “Dolly” Walker, native of Fulton Hill, left this world Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Edward P. Rankin; and oldest brother, Edward Walker. She is survived by her three children, Christine R. O’Connor, Timothy Rankin, and Tammy Rankin Volk; grandchildren, Lisa Verdi Fabbri, and Shane Rankin; great-granddaughter, Gianna Fabbri; brother, Herman Walker; and sister, Erna Bew. Dolly was a wife, mother, grandmother, and owner of the Battlefield Beauty Salon. Known for her generosity, her outspokenness, and fiery personality, Dolly was also very active in local politics. A viewing and reception will be held on Wednesday, May 9, at 11:30 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Virginia 23231.
