Louise Taft Gooding

Louise Taft Gooding, 87, of Highland Springs, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. She was born on November 9, 1925, in Sioux City, Iowa. Mrs. Gooding retired from Bank of America in 1988. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Mrs. Gooding was preceded in death by her husband, William Gooding, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons and their wives, William Gooding, Jr. (Linda), Dale Gooding (Sandra), Glenn Gooding (Onda); two daughters and their husbands, Diane Donahoe (William) and Janet Early (William); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Taft, David Taft (Joan), and Don Frost (Gail); many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of the Richard E. Brown Memory Support Center at the Masonic Home of Virginia for their loving and compassionate care throughout the last four and a half years. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Landmark Baptist Church, 4000 Creighton Road, Richmond, Va 23223. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Landmark Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
