Mamie Keene Charity

Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Charity Sr.; son, Oliver “Butch” Charity Jr.; parents, Thomas Jefferson Keene and Hattie E. Keene; brothers, Thomas Keene Jr. and Isaiah J. Keene; sisters, Lucille K. Bailey and Celeste K. Walker.

Mamie is survived by her devoted daughters, Rita Rose and Marilyn Durham (Joseph Durham III); granddaughters, LaToyia Rose and Kendra Tyler; grandson, Joseph Durham IV; sisters, Edna K. Falden-Smiley and Pauline K. Coles (Eldridge Coles); brothers, Louie Keene and David Keene; and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Remains rest at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a celebration of life service on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. An entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1400 South Randolph Street, Richmond, Virginia 23220.
