WARREN, Margaret “Peggy” Cridlin, 89, of Highland Springs, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, William E. Warren “Billy.” She worked as an Executive secretary for Reynolds Metals Company. Peggy was an active member of Trinity Church, Highland Springs, (formerly Church of the Messiah) since 1939. She served on the Vestry and was active in the Episcopal Church Women, Lenten lunches, bake sales, yard sales, picnics and coffee hours. She was most recently a member of Varina Episcopal Church. Peggy was an avid bridge player, and also had many artistic talents including sewing, counted cross stitch and painting. She hand embroidered altar hangings for the church, stitched gifts for friends, and had many oil paintings hanging in her home that attest to her talent. Peggy is survived by her son, Stephen E. Warren “Steve” and daughter-in-law, Mickie Warren of Varina; a sister, Ina Stickle of Richmond; as well as two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Lee Crenshaw. A memorial service will be held at Varina Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. The church is located at the corner of New Market Road (Rt. 5) and Mill Road.
