Marian Agnes Yeatts Compton, 96, of Sandston, Virginia passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 67 years, Betterton Compton, her parents, Frank and Eula Yeatts, and her siblings, Frank Yeatts, Jr. and Gracie Bishop.
Marian was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always willing to give her support, love, and advice whenever needed. Her open arms were available for comfort and encouragement just as she now has Jesus’ arms embracing her.
She is survived by her son and caregiver, Wayne Compton (Todd), her daughter, Patricia Lilly (Dan), her grandchildren, Nathan Lilly (Janell), Justin Lilly (Viviane), Danielle Lilly, Claire Compton, Grayson Compton and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Camden, Jordynn, Jaxon, and Carter Lilly. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Alease Yeatts, and several nieces.
Funeral services to celebrate Marian will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Visitation will be at 1:00pm with her service starting at 2:00pm at Nelsen’s Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA. Private burial will follow at 3:00pm at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Sandston, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Virginia Down Syndrome Association or Corinth United Methodist Church in Sandston VA.
