

GARDNER, Marion "Jack" E. Sr., of Henrico, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 9, 2016. Jack was a conductor for CSX Railroad, a member of Highland Springs Church of the Nazarene, and was a Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force, serving in Korea. He loved fishing, hunting, collecting antique cars, and working on and repairing cars. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and one great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lilie Mae; children, Marion Jr. (Cindy), Patsy Butler (Billy), Linda McKinley (Roger), Terri Miles (Wayne Sr.) and David (Elaine); grandchildren, Wendy (Branden), Angie, Jason (Melinda), Kelly (Tom), Tammy (Randy), Tee, Wayne Jr. (LaDonna), Matthew (Lydia), Cassy (Ernie); twin brother, Marvin Gardner; 16 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 14, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 15, at 1 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, Laburnum. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
