Mary Wiltshire Varnier

VARNIER, Mary Wiltshire, 93, of Sandston, Va., died December 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Lee Varnier Jr. She is survived by her children, Wayne Varnier (Judy), Suzanne Blyer (Lenny) and Carol Herrin (Sam); grandchildren, Chris Varnier (Susan), Erin Tignor (Troy), Jeff Blyer, Kristi Smith (Tripp), Jim Herrin (Kathy) and Beth Reid (James); 11 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Sandston Baptist Church, and retired from Henrico Public Schools as a Library Assistant. She was a gentle, caring soul who made many friends and spread much love and kindness throughout her long life. Visitation for family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, with a memorial service at 2 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sandston Baptist Church Building Fund.
