Mildred Louise Butler Lassiter

Mildred Louise Butler Lassiter, 95, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was a member of Montrose Eastern Star #176 and a member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Patrick William Lassiter; parents, Jessie Louise Nunnally Butler Johnson and John Edwin Butler; brother, Robert Kern Butler; and sister-in-law, Mildred Louise Butler. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ray Lassiter and wife, Jane, and Dave Lassiter and wife, Mary; three grandchildren, John Lassiter and wife, Sonya, Patrick Lassiter and wife, Andrea, and Rebecca Laipple and husband, Parker; six great grandchildren, Johanna and husband, Wes Milby, Marianna, Dianna, John Lassiter, Jr., and Will and Jake Laipple; three great great grandchildren, William Lloyd Milby, Owen Wesley Milby, and Eli Patrick Lassiter; and two nieces, Betty McMullan and Barbara Butler. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 12 noon officiated by Rev. Howard Germany. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
