Norma Duke Harlow

Norma Duke Harlow, aged 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd L. and Gladys I. Walls; her first husband, Lawrence D. Duke Jr.; sisters, Elsie Rae and Mildred Driscoll. Norma was born in Lanexa, Virginia and was the youngest of seven children. The family moved to Varina in 1940, where she lived the rest of her life with her husband of 45 years, Anthony, and three sons, Danny, Arnie and Patrick. In addition to being an active member of Four Mile Creek Church for 69 years, she enjoyed crafting, trips to the beach and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Anthony E. Harlow; sons, Danny Duke (Kitty), Arnie Duke (Susan) and Patrick Duke (Shane); grandchildren, Jason Moody, Chris Duke (Lena), Amber Laughlin (Ian), Matt Moody, Ryan Duke (Vickie), Erin Duke, Josh Duke, Brandon Duke; great-grandchildren, Alex Laughlin, Autumn Duke, Eric and Shane Moody, Liam Goggin, and Lily and Sophia Duke; siblings, Doris, Floyd Jr., Ellen and Betty; nieces and nephews, Judy, Janie, Jean, Joyce, James, Billy, Warren, David, Dale, Teddy, Ronnie, Eugene, Robin, Sandy, Floyd III, Cynthia, Douglas, Nancy, Mitch, Terry; along with a host of other extended family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, March 8 from 4-6pm and funeral services will be Monday, March 9 at 2pm. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond VA 23231.
