Today, the strongest man I will ever known went home to God's arm's. I learned so much from him growing up. Recently, we sat and talked about his life growing up, the Army, him meeting and falling in love with my mom. I never felt more close to him than I did that day. Just the other day we watched some of the Redskins game together before he fell back off to sleep. The place he was at for a short let mom and him spend their 56th anniversary together.
God saw that you were getting tired,
A cure would never come.
So God put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.”
With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer,
And saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could do nothing to make you stay.
Your heart has stopped beating,
Your hard working hands were put to rest.
Your soft voice to our ears we no longer will hear but our hearts will keep your words forever near.
I love you Dad and will miss you. Rest in peace until we meet again. ❤
