Dear Mr. Martin, Walter, Jr. (Tracy), Troy and Martin family,

It is difficult to find words to express the sadness we felt when hearing of the passing of your loved one, Mrs. Patricia L. Martin.  
Mrs. “Pat” was a wonderful person with a beautiful smile, soft voice and caring spirit. As customers of Coleman Brothers Flowers we have many fond memories of her at the Broad Street location in Manakin-Sabot, VA.

Each year, starting 2009 (10 years), she has supported our church’s Education and Scholarship Ministry; by purchasing an Ad in our annual Community Birthday & Events Calendar. We will always be grateful for her support.

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, may it comfort you to know we share your loss; and always remember the love and support of family she shared with each of you. God will wipe away your tears and show you the way to smiling again.

Pat was always an amazingly  thoughtful person.  She had a smile that could light up a room.  I loved laughing with her as we had fun family times. Such a beautiful soul that I’ll always remember as one of the sweetest aunts I could ever know.  Forever in my heart ♥️ Amy

Pat, was my step sister also for 40 plus years by marriage but my sister at heart. She was one of the most sweetest and caring People I’ve known .  We had a lot of laughs and good times on special occasions and Holidays. She had a heart of gold and was kind to everyone she knew. I will miss her deeply and carry her memories in my heart always! Pat or Aunt Pat as i called her. She treated and loved me as if I was one of her kids💕 I will forever cherish the memories we shared over the years. Like the time she took me to my first flying squirrels baseball game, or when I would go to work with her, or when we would go christmas shopping every year. I will never forget these memories❤ but I know now that she is in heaven with Nanny looking over me. I will forever miss her💕

Pat was my stepsister for 40+ years she may not have been my sister by blood but she was and always will be my sister by heart.  She was the sweetest person with a heart of gold. We had so many good times and laughs together. The family gatherings will not be the same without you.  Pat knew how much I loved her and I know she loved me.  My heart aches for our family. Rest In Peace beautiful Pat. I love you and will miss you always. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Shiflett Jr.; and is survived by her husband, Walter “Reed” Martin Sr.; sons, Walter Reed Martin Jr. (Tracy) and Troy D. Martin; father, Herman R. Shiflett Sr. (Katherine); sister, Donna Jean Shiflett; niece, Tracy L. Mason (Chris); great-niece, Krista L. Walton; and great-nephews, Joshua W. Walton and Christopher L. Pierce.
