Patricia Dunaway Newton

Pat spent her career in Business Administration working for several doctors, Peter W. Brown M.D., Peter H. Goldmann M.D., Ruben Villaroman M.D., MCV, and McKesson. She was awarded many times for her leadership and administration skills.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her late husband Woodrow P. Newton JR. “Woody”, whom she traveled with to many fun and exciting places. Pat loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, sons (their wives) and neighbors. She was always up for a reunion, cook-out or time spent by the pool. She was preceded in death by her late husband Woodrow P. Newton Jr. “Woody”, Ex-husband Otho P. Dunaway Jr. “Sonny”, Sisters-Dorothy Nichols (Eugene), Mildred Elizabeth Garrett Vaughan (Bob), Gladys Hazel Garrett, Jean Garrett Henry (Bill), Virginia Garrett Steger (Charles), Brothers-James Edward Garrett (Mildred), Thomas Nelson Garrett.

She is survived by her two sons, Stephen P. Dunaway (Becky), Troy Dean Dunaway (Denea), many nieces and nephews and two Grand-dogs Baleigh and Katie Belle.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 11 am until service time at 12 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave.
