Peggy Juanita Moore

Peggy Juanita Moore, 73, of Richmond, VA, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014. She was preceded in death by her Great-grandson, Cameron Morgan Gordon; daughter, Shelby J. Martin; father, Sylvester L. Herring; mother, Frances T. Kirby; step-father, H.D. Kirby; and sister, Shirley H. Thacker. Peggy worked in the warehouse for Centrex, a division of Dupont. She is survived by her siblings, Floyd L. “Dick” Herring, of Charlottesville, Frances H. Moore, of Scottsville, Clyde W. “Pete” Herring, of Louisa, Sylvester L. “Big” Herring, of Charlottesville, Debra H. Mills, of Charlottesville, Linda H. Wood, of Louisa and Warren L. Herring, of Louisa; step-mother, Gladys W. Herring, of Louisa; sons, Daniel R. Moore, Lawrence E. “Pete” Moore, both of Sandston, Va; daughter, Donna L. Moore, of Sandston, Va; grandchildren, Jason R. Gordon (Jeanean) of Aylett, Jennifer N. Durose (John) of Aylett, Christopher D. Toman, of Sandston, and Sydney R. Tate, of Mechanicsville; and great-grandchildren, Jason “Jay” Gordon, Jr., Josie Hayden Durose, Rayne Adrianna Toman. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2013 at 3 p.m. Interment will be held in McKendree United Methodist Church Cemetery, Manquin, Va.
