WHITAKER, Philip Augustus "Butch" III, 64, of Richmond, Va., passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015, joining his loving wife, Karen Ann Whitaker; and beloved pet, Scruffy "Boo-Boo," awaiting him in Heaven. He was also preceded in death by his father, Philip Augustus Jr.; mother, Carolyn Whitaker; and sister, Carolyn Probst. He is survived by his loving children, Lisa, Phil, Tammy and Jessie; special sons-in-law, Michael and Donny; daughter-in-law, Rachel; cherished grandchildren, Katelyn, Jessie Jr., Amber, Felix and Dylan; sisters, Patricia and Barbara; and brothers, Sandy and Billy Joe. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, August 14, at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2950 New Market Rd., Henrico, Va. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
