Parker, Phyllis Marie Perkins, 90, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 8, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Charles “Charlie” Parker. Phyllis and her husband were the owners of Parker’s appliance in Sandston in the 1970’s. Phyllis also served her country in the United States Navy as a cook in 1944. She leaves behind to cherish the memory 3 children, Phyllis Fitzgerald of Sandston, George Parker (Diana) of Henrico, and Charlie Parker (Sybil) of North Chesterfield; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; her pet children, Izzy and Brandee; and Janette Taylor, her care taker. The family will receive friends on Monday November 11, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home. 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231.
