He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; parents, John and Stella Barnett; three brothers, Stuart, Randolph, and Adlai; and two sisters, Florine and Evelyn. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Gwendolyn and her son, Chris; stepdaughters, Debbie (Richard), Sherry, and Lynn; nephews and nieces; and many devoted friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Ln., Richmond, Va. 23222.
