

He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Sterling and his mother Maude Newton; son-in-law Cliff Hall; grandson Russell Hall; sister Dorothy Robinson; and other members of the Stone and Newton families.
Reggie is survived by his wife Phyllis Sterling; two daughters Lorene Hall and Shelia Haynes (Stephen); grandchildren Ben Zitta (Somer) and Laura Hall; and great-grandchildren Layla Vaughn and Emily Zitta as well as a large circle of extended family and friends including Raymond and Marie Heath.
He served in the Army from 1956 to 1958 and was a City of Richmond Firefighter from 1960 until his retirement in 1995.
The funeral service will be held at Nelson Funeral Home on 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 8th. Visitation is on Friday, November 7th at Nelson from 6 pm to 8 pm. A graveside service will be held at Signal Hill Memorial Park on 12360 Hanover Courthouse Road, Hanover, VA 23069 at 2 pm on Saturday, November 8th.
Reggie was a member of the Richmond Retired Firefighters Association and enjoyed visiting his friends monthly until he was no longer able to. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
Reggie’s last residence was Morningside of Bellgrade Midlothian, VA. Thank you for taking care of Dad and your support for Mom and the family.
