He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Julia Dula, and left to cherish his memory is his sister, Debra Dula; brother, David Dula; nephew, Sam Dula; stepdaughter, Michelle Wooddy; his beloved grandson and sidekick , Dylan Whitaker (Buddy Row), whom he loved and raised; aunt, Donna Dula Daniels; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
He was a hard worker, who had to work for everything he ever had. Tim retired from Phillip Morris in 2006, after 30 years of service and then went on to drive tow trucks, and helping out at the towing company. Never one to sit still, he was like the “road runner” always on the move going somewhere and doing something. Tim was well known at car shows, and could often be found at Burnette’s on Saturday night admiring all the classic cars. He liked riding motorcycles, which he had many of, even going to Daytona Beach for bike week a few times. He was a person that could be relied on, the perfect person to confide in, knowing there would be no judgement and would be kept between you and him. He was a gentle giant who loved going places with his friends, and especially loved being with Dylan, whom he was extremely dedicated to. He was a fighter, and fought the 5 different cancers and beat them, fighting the fight to the end!
The family will receive family and friends Tuesday, December 9 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA., where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
