Many of the “Old Timers” have passed on leaving Bob as one of the oldest members at Sandston Moose Family Center – something he was very proud of! Bob was an active member of Sandston Moose Family Center #1937 for 57 years. He was a Lodge Ritualist for ten years and Grounds Maintenance Chair for 30 years. Bob served the Moose Fraternity in many capacities from the lodge level, the state as State President, Moose Legion Ambassador, Moose Legion Secretary, and Moose Legion Ritual Judge. He served on the international level of the Moose Fraternity as the International Moose Legion President and as the Area Manager.
Bob never met a stranger! He was outgoing, friendly, and always ready to talk Moose! Oh, yes, most of you know he loved his “Pepsi Colas”. Through his travels with the Moose Legion, he made many new friends and the friendships have never wavered, covering the United States and Canada.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, at 11 a.m. in Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moose Charities, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539.

Oh Pat, I am so so very sorry to hear about Bob's passing. Just found out today. My heart is broken. I have so many wonderful memories of him going back to when I was at the Holiday Inn Hampton and was fortunate enough to see you both every year for many years. And fortunate to have seen you since I left the hotel. My heart goes out to you. I know how close the two of you were and I know how much he deeply loved you. Will always remember his sense of humor and big hugs. Sending so much love and hugs to you! Love you!

Pat and family - I am so very sorry to hear of "Maxey's" passing. He was an awesome man, always had a smile on his face and will miss him calling me "shuga." When the person you are closest to is gone, hold on to their memories and know that they are always with you.

I think of Maxey,as most of us called him and I smile when I remember him and his dry sense of humor. Sometimes sarcastic and sometimes, you had to laugh when you realized if he liked you, he was going to give you a hard time. And if he gave you a hard time. You were going to have a friend forever. Maxey will be missed by all who really knew him,but he can now RIP and join his fellow Moose members, that he mentored and cared for so much. Sandston Moose will always remember him and miss him! Pat Maxey and family your memories of Maxey, will help you through these dark days .Remember we are all here for all of you! Healing prayers sent!

Pat,
So sorry to hear of the passing of this great man. Our prayers go out to you and the family. So many learned the true meaning of fraternal from him. To me he was always Mr. Moose. He had an answer for all questions. May God hold you and the family in his arms through this difficult time🙏💞
