ZITTA, Samuel “Smokey” Benjamin Jr., 81, of Sandston, passed away on February 21, 2016. He was an Army veteran, and a plumber for Baker and Hazelwood. He also loved hunting and the outdoors. Smokey was an adoring father and husband, and will be remembered for wonderful and loving he was to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lena Zitta; his brother, Paul Thomas Zitta; and the love of his life, Betty W. Zitta. He is survived by his children, Kim, Sam, Georgia, and Windy Zitta; grandchildren, Ben, Kevin, and Lydia Zitta; sisters, Judy and Dorothy; and devoted caregivers, Kia and Avery. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 12 pm with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
