Sharlene is going to be missed. So much but she is dancing with the lord and my papa Howard  he love Sharlene to death and now papa and Sharlene are most likely up in heaven and walking on the clouds and papa is making more silly jokes and Sharlene is laugh. I just know in my heart that she is looking forward to seeing y’all all again soon because to us it like years until we see the people that have gone to be with the lord but for them it’s like a minute for them. With that being said I know are family will get  through this. I love every single one of y’all. Praying for y’all. 😘💋

To Donnie, Jeff & Donnie Jr.
On behalf of everyone in the Henrico Security Division, we extend our thoughts and prayers to all of you and to the many people that she has impacted in her life. Sharlene was such a kind soul and would not hesitate to help anyone who needed it. I was very fortunate to sit next to her during our regular staff meetings, and always enjoyed our chats about family, work or news of the day. Sharlene always talked of Donnie, her children, and her precious grandchildren that she cherished. They were her world!  Over the years, Sharlene worked hard to develop her employees and make Café 1611 what it is today and enjoyed by so many employees around the County. Sharlene will be blessed in the heavens and will not be forgotten by those who were privileged to have known her.

Whenever I think of Sharlene, I picture Wonder Woman!  She was amazing!  There was nothing she couldn’t do or wouldn’t do for anyone.  She had the biggest heart and tremendous faith!  I am truly blessed for having worked with her and call her friend.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her beloved family🙏🏻

God certainly called home a Super Angel.  Rest easy Sharlene.

I am so sorry and heartbroken to hear of the loss of your  loving wife , mom and my neighbor.  I will miss your smiling face and  your wave  Sharlene as you passed me standing at the mailbox.  I remember our boys growing up together and the tender love and patience  you had for your boys.  I know that you are sitting around God’s throne tonight and dancing with the angels.   

Sharlene was an incredibly kind-spirited person who will be greatly missed within the walls of Henrico County General Government.  She was the epitome of great leadership. Although she was the cafeteria manager, you would see Sharlene wearing many hats: cooking, food-prepping, running the register, delivering catered food to departments, you name it, she did it! Sharlene did it all with a smile and esteemed professionalism she so deeply embodied. We will miss her terribly. My thoughts and prayers for her family, friends, and loved ones. Rest easy, Sharlene.



My Dear Sharlene,
You are one of the kindest, sweetest and loyal person I have ever known.  You loved your family unconditionally and I feel sure they feel the same way about you.  We were very close at one time, and though we have not seen or talked in a long time,  you were never far from my thoughts and heart.  I believe the good lord takes us from earth when he needs us and as heartbreaking as it is for your family and friends, I know you will continue to be the outstanding person you always are.  Rest in peace my dear friend, and I will see you on the other side one day.

Sharlene was a gem. Embedded in a government she ran a business with a heart. While the leader she also did every job in the org chart if that cafe. Often all in the same day. She will be missed. And she will not be forgotten. Wish I could attend service but taking care of wife who just donated kidney to a needy friend. We will say a prayer Saturday for her and her family. 

It is not often in life that you have the honor of sharing life experiences, good ones, with another.  I had this opportunity with Sharlene.  Although our time was limited to our work at  Henrico County, it was always positive and supportive.  Sharlene was a cataliyst in many of the functions of the Energy Program that made each better for her support.  Always ready to support, participate, and make each event better, Charlene gave of her time and expertise to energy and Henrico County.  I will always be in her debt for the many  times I asked for help, and it was given freely.   Charlene was a friend, a partner, and wonderful person who will be missed.  My condolences cannot express my feeling of loss.  May the Lord welcome her with his loving arms.

Mrs. Sharlene left a legacy of service and true trust in the sovereignty of God. She was so very helpful, giving of her time, and forgiving, leaving no room for offense or rumor which is so indicative of the fruit that Christ bears in us when we are in Him.  I am grateful to have known her and the example of a Godly woman she exuded in serving and loving others with patient humility,  seeing the positive light and humor in each circumstance.  While she is in the presence of our king, she will be missed here with us until we meet again. 

Donnie and sons I am so sorry to hear about Sharlene.  You were the best next door neighbors we ever had and my heart goes out to you. God is with you and will be your strength though all of this.  The boys and I love you very much.

Price; children; Donald Ladd (Jessica) and Jeffery Ladd (Christie); 5 grandchildren; siblings, James Smith, Delbert Price, Terry Price, Gary Price, Linda Swinson, Drema Nicholson, and Jerry Price.
