Shelley Lewis Phillips Sledge

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Edward Phillips; mother, Virginia Stover Phillips; and grandson, Layne Edward Sledge.

Shelley worked as a medical receptionist for Richmond Pediatric Associates and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and Calvary United Methodist Church. She graduated from J.R. Tucker High School and earned her Associate Degree from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Shelley was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star - Montrose Chapter. She loved the ocean, going to the beach, and fishing.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Mark Alan Sledge; children, Rev. April Sledge Weaver (Paul), Ashley Sledge Edwards (Dan), Raymond Frank Sledge (Rian), Tabitha Sledge; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen Stover Phillips; as well as a host of extended family and close friends.
