Shirley Baldwin

Shirley Baldwin, 85, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. She was a retired child care provider with Oakwood Daycare Center and a longtime member of Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by three children, Diana Throckmorton and husband, Bruce, Mark Baldwin and wife, Donna and Christopher Baldwin; grandchildren, Joseph, John and wife, Aimee, Jamie and husband, Rick and Kenneth and wife, Summer; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis Hendrick, Jean Johnson and Audrey Long and husband, Will; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, April 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
