Shirley Baldwin Barnes

Shirley Baldwin Barnes, 78, of Henrico, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lola Baldwin; brother, James Baldwin Jr.; and aunt, Hazel Powers. Shirley was a resident and church member at St. Joseph’s Home, Little Sisters of the Poor. Left to cherish her memory are her children, R. Thomas Barnes III (MaryAnne), Elizabeth B. Moore (Shon) and Leigh B. Robbins; grandchildren, Megan K. Barnes, Spencer T. Robbins, Garrett A. Robbins, Ashlyn R. Moore and Madelyn G. Moore; and siblings, Lloyd Baldwin (Sandy) and Barbara Gunter (Roy). A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, at St. Joseph’s Home, Little Sisters of the Poor, 1503 Michaels Rd., Henrico, Va. 23229, with a wake one hour prior. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, 22482 Prince Edward Hwy., Rice, Va. 23966 at 2 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Henrico Doctors’ Hospital and Little Sisters of the Poor for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor.
