Shirley Carter Cosner, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be present with the Lord on Thursday, February 12, 2015. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Richard Cosner; six children, Joyce McCants (Buddy), Thomas Cosner (Linda), Bonnie Blake (Byron), Paula Cobb (Mark), Billy Cosner (Deanna) and Bobby Cosner; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura Lee Dillon and Patricia Bruce; and brothers, Lindsay Carter and Kelly Carter; and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231; where funeral services will be held Sunday, February 15 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
