PAXTON, Stirel "Buddy" M., 76, of Burkeville, died Friday, July 17, 2015. A native of Covington, he was the owner of Paxton Plumbing and Heating. He was an avid golfer and a member of Crewe Country Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; sister, Jane McCune; his companion, Nancy Craft; and his faithful dog, Pootoo. Buddy is survived by his daughter, Kelly Paxton of Williamsburg; three sons, Kent Paxton of Varina, Steven Paxton of Covington and Michael Paxton of Highland Springs; brother, Danny Paxton of Varina, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 20, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 21.
