She attended Highland Springs High School and worked for American Tobacco Company in logistics – shipping and receiving.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank “Jimmy” and Hazel Weagley; nephew, “Ricky” Lawson; grandson, Scott Rushing; and grandnephew, Damian Jennings.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Coltes; children, John Rushing (Susan), James Rushing (Jennifer) and Garland Rushing; sisters, Deborah Stidham (Troy) and Lisa Vanderberg (Bobby); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
