He was born March 2, 1932 in Detroit to the late Allie and Mary Exel Aidif.
He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era and received the Bronze Star (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Air Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross and Masters Parachute Badge. He attended St. John Catholic Church in Highland Springs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Aidif, brother, Joseph Aidif; brother and sister-in-law, James and Bernadine Aidif; and son, Alan Aidif.
He is survived by his son, Glenn Aidif and spouse, Melanie; grandson, Anthony Aidif; granddaughter, Krystle McCabe and spouse, Robert; three great-grandsons, Liam, Finn and Owen McCabe; and many nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 7, at 1 p.m. at Washington Memorial Park.
