TOMLIN-BARNETTE, Tonya Marie, 35, passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident on June 7, 2019. Tonya had a huge heart. She was a crisis counselor and was always helping others. Tonya is survived by her children; Kenneth & Kristin Scroggin; husband, Larry Barnette; stepchildren, Cody and Wyatt; mother, Teresa Sharp, fathers; Jeff Tomlin, Sr. and John R. Sharp; brothers, Jeffrey Tomlin, Jr. and Jason Sharp; grandfather, Brooks T. Wilson; grandmother, Jean Sharp; niece, Jada Tomlin; nephew, Jayce Sharp; aunt, Susan Belou (Mike); uncle, Silas Tomin, Jr.; cousins she loved dearly, Charlie, Christine, Nicole and Rachael; and a whole lot of other family members and friends she loved. A service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 4 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231, with a gathering for remembrance one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to her mother, Teresa Sharp, to help with funeral expenses and taking care of Tonya’s children’s future.
