Wilbur Alexander McNamee, Jr., known to family and friends as “Chucky” journeyed to his heavenly home Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was welcomed there by his parents, Wilbur McNamee, Sr., Carrie McNamee Thacker and stepfather, Charles Thacker.
He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Sharp (Danny), Vicki Sharp and Michelle McNamee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was especially appreciative for the loving care given by his niece, Kaytie Burke.
He will be missed by many friends from Corinth United Methodist Church where he was a long-time member; especially his dear friend, Mike Powell. Chucky enjoyed spending time with family, going to movies, and reading sports and history books. And all his life he loved his Dallas Cowboys.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, at 2 p.m.
Graveside services will be Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, VA 23238.
