He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Cox. He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Jennifer McIlyar (Eric), and Curtis Cox (Rachel); five grandchildren, Aliviah, Kinsley, Emily, Colton, and Natalie; and sister, Carolyn Hunt (Billy).
Billy loved bowling, volunteering as an umpire, and the Miami Dolphins.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 15, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231.
