William Francis "Mike" Taylor, 87, of Sandston, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017. Mike was retired from the U.S. Army National Guard with 44 years of distinguished service. He also retired from Capital Chevrolet as a service manager. He loved hunting, fishing, autoracing, and restoring antique automobiles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish Mike's memory are his loving wife, Carol Lee of 66 years; children, John W. (Sandra), Michele Burton (William S.), Kathleen Wedge, James Michael (Nancy); sister, Gloria Jean Jeager; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, friends and family. Mike's family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans.
