A very beautiful tribute to dear cousin Tim ... in as much as this is a trying time for his wife Kim, the response by friends and family was truly outstanding, most notably the shared speeches by his sons Stephen and Cole that was a most memorable reflection to their love for their father.
No doubt Tim is greatly loved by his friends and family. RIP Tim.

We all had the pleasure of working for and sharing a friendly conversation with him from time to time. He had a great sense of humour and always asking about how the kids were doing. The zoo was the foundation of my wildlife career and ooohhh the memories I have from my time there! I still remember walking out of my interview 16 years ago excited at the possibilities this opportunity might offer but I never realized how much of an impact on me my time there would have. Tim was always kind to me, always looked the other way at how much overtime I was accumulating to pay for school and might mutter the occasional “tell her to slow down a bit” as I zipped around the park. What a loss to the zoo, our community and of course, his family. May he rest in peace.

I am from New Zealand, a very longtime friend of Jeff and Sue Burfield-Hancock. When I visited back in 2002 I had the pleasure of meeting Tim and Kim and enjoy the Safari park and gift shop. As a Harley rider myself Tim even took me for spin on his Harley and a family BBQ at their house. Although a brief encounter I can still to this  day recall how welcoming and friendly Tim and family were.  Rest in peace Tim and my deepest condolences to the family. Regards Angie Ward
