It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William Clarence Brewster on Friday, February 6th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Carley and Joshua Brewster; his parents, Sherileen and William Brewster; his sister Tammy Gooder and her husband Bill Gooder; his sister, Tonya Heron (Jay); his nephew, Max Heron; his brother, Tim Brewster; Shannon Brewster, the mother of his children and a lifelong friend; his mother-in-law, Gloria Lacavera and Colleen Murphy.
William will always be remembered for his steady presence, kind heart, and the quiet way he showed his love through the little things. He had a lifelong passion for cars and could often be found tinkering, fixing, or talking shop with anyone who shared the same interest. At home, he found his greatest joy in simple moments - relaxing in the backyard surrounded by friends and family, gathered around the fire, sharing stories and laughter late into the evening. He cherished time spent up north with his friends, where life felt a little slower and memories were made that would last a lifetime. A devoted and hardworking man, William dedicated more than 30 years of his career to Durez, where he built not only a profession but lasting friendships. He also had a special soft spot for his cats, Sawyer, Smitty, Soso, who were constant companions and brought him endless comfort.
Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate William’s life at Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Road N., in Ridgway on Thursday February 12th from 2 to 4 pm. A reception will follow at Brimstone Brewery and an interment at Greenwood Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Greater Niagara, and would be appreciated by his family.
