A native of the Ukraine, he came to the United States after World War II and spent his adult life in construction, specializing in masonry. Husband of Nina. Father of Katharina (Don) Sanford, Valentina (the late William) Miller and Jack (Ann) Kakasenko. Grandfather of Gayle Parent, Larissa Kakasenko and Colin Kakasenko.
