Born in Detroit, Michigan, Alexandra was the cherished daughter of Eddie and Georgette Abood. She grew up alongside her two brothers, Allen and the late Arthur.
Alexandra was truly the heart of her family. She was kind, generous, patient, and unwaveringly supportive. No matter the circumstance, she was the calming presence everyone could depend on. She would do anything for those she loved, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother, and she treasured every moment spent caring for and making memories with her family.
She also found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Alexandra enjoyed knitting and crocheting, trying her luck playing the lottery, and lovingly creating handmade blankets for her church, sharing her talents with others through thoughtful acts of service.
Alexandra is lovingly survived by her daughter, Karen (Trevor) Dunham; her beloved grandchildren, April, Wesley, and Sophia; her brother, Allen Abood; and her nephews, Jason (Heather) and Brian.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Szymanski; her brother, Arthur Abood; and her parents, Eddie and Georgette Abood.
