Alfred James “Jim” Jeffries, age 76, of Auburn Hills, died June 16, 2018. Jim was born on August 17, 1941 in Hillsdale, son of the late Alfred and Melva (Holfelder) Jeffries. He graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1959 and joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, where he served for 8 years. Jim attended the Art Center in Los Angeles and was a well-known local artist. He painted murals at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY, The Gardens in Palm Beach, FL, as well as many local establishments. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Diane as well as many friends and cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018, 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment at Christian Memorial Cemetery.
