

Ann was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, on June 16,1935. Ann was the beloved daughter of the late J. Glenn and Eleanor Berry. She graduated from New Castle High School in 1952 and went on to earn a bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Purdue University in 1956. It was at Purdue University where she met the love of her life, the late Wesley Durand Tomlinson Jr. The couple married on April 13,1957, beginning a life filled with love, family, and adventure.
Early in her career, she worked as a home service representative with Consumers Power in Detroit. Later, she served as a substitute teacher for Rochester Community Schools, contributing to the education and development of many young minds.
A devoted member of University Presbyterian Church for 65 years, Ann served faithfully as an elder, Sunday School teacher, and Superintendent of Christian Education. Her dedication to her faith and community was evident in her service and commitment to the church.
Family was at the heart of Ann's life. She cherished time spent on family ski trips, canoeing adventures, and traveling with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley. Ann is survived by her children Steven (Lou Ann) Tomlinson and Beth (Robert) LaBelle; grandchildren Sarah (Kevin) Kolcheck, Michael (Hannah) Tomlinson, Kathryn (Jacques) Dupuis, Cory (Lisa) LaBelle, and Joel LaBelle; great grandchildren Oliver, Theodore, Emmanuel, Wesley, Eleanor, Wren, Roma, Margot, and Sophia; Sister-in-law Mary Heleniak, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Ann will be held at University Presbyterian Church, 1385 S. Adams Rd, Rochester Hills, on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., followed by the service at noon. Interment will take place at Mt. Avon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Ann's honor may be made to University Presbyterian Church or the Clinton River Watershed Council.
