Predeceased by parents Peter and Lucy (Chobanian) Googasian and daughter Anne (Scott) Zellner. Loving husband of Carolyn (Lorenz) for 64 years; father of Lynne Gafford, Mark (Laurie) Googasian; proud grandfather of Elizabeth, Jonathan and Victoria; brother of George (Phyllis) Googasian; uncle of niece and nephews Karen Googasian Shive, Steve and Dean Googasian, and dear friend of many.
Armen after graduating from Pontiac High School, Armen received a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and retired from General Motors as a Senior Design Engineer after over 35 years of service.
As a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church his ministries included choir, Red Bird Mission work trips and semi-annual rummage sales.
Armen will be remembered by his laugh, his openness with strangers, always putting family first, and his love of music, cooking, woodworking and gardening.
Family, friends, and others whose life Armen touched may attend the visitation on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Rd, Rochester Hills, Michigan, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM with a service following from 1:00 PM – 2:00PM.
