Barbara Sue Domanski, of St. John, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2025, at the age of 63. Barb was born the daughter of Luther and Eva (Overton) Whited on July 17, 1962, in Monroe, Michigan. Barb graduated from Monroe HS in 1980 and continued her education earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1984. Barb began career working with the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Milan, MI where she met her future husband Mark Domanski, they were married on May 27, 1989. Barb finished her career with the Oakland County Sheriff's Department with a medical retirement. Barb experienced many health challenges over the past 20 years. She loved her family, especially her two Mainecoon cats Tasha and Ash. During her younger years, Barb enjoyed making custom beaded jewelry, camping with her family in Northern Michigan and Canada.
Barb is survived by her husband, Mark Domanski; sons Eric and Brandon Domanski; niece Tina (Chad) Marvaso; and cousin Pam (Tim) Janisse. Barb was predeceased by her parents, brother Gary Whited and sister Patti Green.
A celebration of life will be held by the family on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Greystone Golf and Banquet Center in Washington Township, Michigan from 3pm – 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at the celebration of life or in Barb’s honor to Behcet’s Organization (behcets.org) or K9 Defense Fund (specify for Oakland County Sheriff’s K9 Program).
