Beatrice Susan Brown

BROWN, Beatrice Susan, passed away from this earthly life June 20, 2010. She was born November 29, 1918 in Westphalia, Michigan to the late Charles Andrew Gamel and Beulah Marguerite (Hawes) Gamel, both of Springville, NY. She graduated from the Pontiac Central High School. She met the love of her life, the late Earl Harold Brown, while roller skating and they were married June 21, 1937. They celebrated 71 years together. She resided in Rochester Hills (Avon Twp) since 1941 in a home her husband built. She had several jobs in her life but the one she was most proud of was Wife and Mother; Mother of the late Harold Kenneth, the late Stephen Earl, Judy Lee Green, Stanley Ray and Diane Gail (Mark) Johnston. She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Andrew, Carlisle, Marguerite Linabury, Irene Redick, Clayton, Lucille Slodinski, Loren and Hazel Stratton. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester; visitation Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
