Bernard E. Garnett of Rochester, MI passed away on June 5, 2024 at the age of 91. Bernard was born on June 26, 1932 to the late Charles & Veda Garnett. His great love was his late wife, Wilma Garnett with whom he shared 67 years of his life. Bernard honorably served in the Navy from 1951 - 1955. He continued to serve his community at the Rochester Post Office before taking a well-earned retirement.
He is survived by his children Sharon Patterson, Pam (Tim) Bowman, Steve (Cheryl) Garnett, Gail (Dean) Lee; 9 beloved grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and siblings Orville Garnett and Delores McGuire.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Angie Sousie; and brothers Marvin, Arvin, Clare & Norman Garnett.
He will be inurned at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
