Betty had a long career as a homemaker/housewife/Mom. A career that she loved, was proud of, worked hard at and at which she was incredibly good.
She did work outside the home at Michigan Bank for many years, but it was out of necessity.
Family was the most important thing in her life. She fiercely loved, supported and protected her family. She constantly put her family’s needs in front of her own.
She was married for over 50 years to her one and only love, Bob Longe. Their legendary 5pm cocktail hour was a time for them to share the events of their day, sing songs and laugh.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Louis and Marie VanCoillie, her brothers Dave and Bob, her husband Bob and her son Marty. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Greg) Barrows and her sons Dan, Tim (Tracy) and Gary (Mary Lee). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The arrangements for her funeral are as follows
