Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph and Constance Peters. She was a generous, warm, fun-loving, and colorful person who brought joy and personality to the lives of those around her. Carol truly enjoyed life and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Carol had a creative spirit and many interests. She loved gardening, animals—especially cats—and listening to music. She also enjoyed painting and expressing herself through her creativity.
Carol is survived by her brother, Robert (Marie) Peters; her daughter, Laura Rosin; granddaughters, Stephanie (Kevin) Arcaro and Brooke Rosin; her significant other, Larry Artman; and many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Hearn; her second husband, Gene King; and her sister, Margi Bayer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a memory-sharing service beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
