I have known Carol since we were 4 in the Sunshine Sunday School class at First Baptist Church Rochester.   Our friendship grew over the years - we had our own group of friends in our teen years but our close friendship started to grow in our early 20's through now.  

Carol loved life and always looked on the brighter side when things would get her down.   
Carol was entwined in my family's life.  A few things that stand out with us were:
Carol loved her cats  as she would call them her "babies".  When our son Shane was small he started calling her the Cat Lady.  Carol thought that was hilarious.  This has continued on through the years.  Any time Carol called or we were talking on the phone if Shane would be in the room he'd say is that Cat Lady.  Carol would hear him and  would start laughing.

Then there was Bob and Carol kibitzing back and forth for years now.   Carol had called me  and we had talked for 90 minutes!! Yep.  back in the day our phone bill would have the number of who called and for how long.  Bob brought this to my attention and asked who I was talking to for 90 minutes?  I told him Carol.  I had told Carol of our conversation and her reply was "Tell Bob that this was my dime and not his".  SO I told Bob from then on they joked back and forth about this incident and our phone call.  This was so Carol.  There were times when she'd call , Bob would answer and what did they talk about - The Pistons, Tigers and of course HOCKEY!!  Then I would be able to talk to her.

Carol loved to quilt.  She made beautiful quilts for her family...I really don't know how she did such fantastic work with having Rheumatoid Arthritis in her hands so badly but she continued to make her quilts.  I was so honored that she made one for me for my 50th birthday however, I didn't get it until a year later.  We teased about it.  But that was fine - I love it and something else to remember Carol for.

I have been blessed with Carol's friendship.




Carol was a good friend from Rochester First Baptist. She and her parents were so faithful. She was always ready for a good time. She recently told me that my mom led her to Christ. So, I can rejoice in her homegoing though I know she will be greatly missed here. Praying for her family members who will miss her. I know she will leave a hole in the hearts of many.

Carol was a dear friend as she was part of "the gang" at Rochester First Baptist Church. She had a great laugh and a kind heart.

Carol was a very good friend of my sister Vickie.  Carol was always friendly and caring and enjoyed a good laugh.   She will be missed.
